    Ideal for road racing, track days and high performance driving schools, the Proxes R888 is the next-generation, street legal competition tire from Toyo Tires. In competition the R888’s improvements in casing and tread design improve dry performance while maintaining wet traction and control.

    Features:

  • The V-shaped tread design enhances wet traction and control
  • Advanced casing and V-shaped tread pattern
  • Stiffer bead construction and wider tread width enable the R888 to generate more cornering force, with less heat degradation
  • Spiral-wound cap ply (construction may vary by size)
  • Semi-slick shoulder area improves steering response
  • Steel wire reinforced sidewalls (construction may vary by size)
  • Continuous center contact increases braking performance and feel as compared to RA1
  • Tread depth can be shaved to maximize dry traction

    Toyo Tires recommends the following general set up guidelines for the Proxes R888:

  • Operating Temperature: 160°F to 220°F
  • Hot Inflation
  • Pressures: 32 to 38 (psi)
  • Camber: -2.5° to -5.0°
  • Caster: As much positive as possible
