Our plate is an exact aluminum duplicate of the flimsy factory plastic seal plate that is ugly, most likely warped from heat, and filled with stamped hole cutouts. If you have a street car with the hood latch you will want to choose the "notch style" to accommodate the hood latch mechanism.
It is possible that some relocation of certain components that are mounted in the area of the plate depending on the year of your car and components fitted (ie: the windshield washer fill tank latch on some models).
Description
This product comes in two different versions. One for racecars that use hood pins to latch the hood and have the factory hood latch removed, and one that has a cutout for the factory hood latch for cars that still have them installed.
This product was designed by us to eliminate having to use the cheap looking, dirty, warped factory radiator seal plate (black plastic thing in between the top of the radiator and front bumper lip) that comes installed on Mazda Miata's (and not at all on some!). We have used this product on our race cars for years to replace the factory plastic junk, it is lightweight, nice looking, strong, and will create a more solid seal to direct the air coming through the front bumper opening through your radiator and not over the top of it by escaping through the large openings.
