Description
While most of our parts were born and raised on the racetrack, this particular part came to us while swapping an engine from a 2002 Miata in one of our daily driver 1999 Miata's. The coil-on-plug assembly on the 2001+ Miata engines is a very unsightly and a mess of wires, plugs, and big coils. Our simple solution to this was to create an aluminum plate to hide this mess and give the engine a more refined, "finished" look. Of course like all of our other 5X Racing branded parts, it carries racecar DNA and certainly looks like it belongs on a racecar!

So the 2001 system with the wasted spark only has two coils and doesn't look as cool as the previous ones with all 4 wires and I wanted to cover mine. Cover is great - a little hard to install cause I have fat fingers. Going to powder coat mine green to match the scheme I'm going for!
