Boundary Engineering oil pump gears are machined in matched sets, and shipped with blueprinting paperwork. These gears have been proven in applications of up to 300 hp/L or around 600 hp on a 2 liter. This Stage 2+ "Race" High Flow Oil Pump includes a hardened relief valve assembly and includes:
  • CNC cut housing and fitted with larger oil pump gears
  • Inner and Outer Chromoly Gear Set hand assembled inside of a new oil pump housing
  • New housing disassembled and cleaned using air blast, ultrasonic, and visual inspection
  • Relief valve uninstalled, actuated, lubricated, and reinstalled
  • The relief valve bore and reamed out and sleeved with a hardened steel bore to prevent debris damage
  • Shimming has been increased to 70+ PSI from the stock 60 PSI
  • Blue printing paper work filled out with all your exact tolerances at the time of assembly
  • Assembled using Red Line assembly lube
  • Fitted inside of air tight bag to prevent contamination
  • Also fits Ford's equipped with BP engine

    Description

    The sintered gears inside of a stock oil pump assembly only rates to about 6KSI of stress before shattering. These gears provide a serious structural upgrade to 90Ksi steel. The gears match the specification of a 91.5-00 oil pump housing.

    Technical Insight:
    The standard 91.5-00 OEM oil pump comes in a thickness of .373. The VVT high-volume OEM pump comes in a .393 thickness. Boundary Stage 1 pumps are .373 with billet gears to increase flow, and the Stage 2 pumps are machined to .430. Along with the many other improvements they make to the gerotor pattern, the Stage 2 pump provides an easy 10% flow over the OEM VVT spec high-flow pump, or 15% more over the 91.5-00 NON-VVT OEM pump. That extra flow gives you more idle to mid-range oil pressure as well as reaching maximum relief valve pressure faster. The relief valve shimming only affects your max oil pressure (5000 RPM plus). These pumps have tested privately up to 100PSI with no ill effects, but testing has shown 76 PSI being most beneficial to bearing and tappet wear without cold start pressures being very high. More oil pressure equals longer engine life!
