We street tested this knob in our Miata's for several months before going with another option. This knob is used, but is in perfect condition.
We have tried this shift knob on both our race Miata's and our street Miata's and feel that it is better suited for street Miata's. The round, ball top is more comfortable and sits a little bit lower than the Buddy Club Type B shift knob. The ball is not as large as most "cue ball" type shift knobs, it is easier to "pinch" with your fingers instead of "palm". If you are a fan of round shift knobs than this is a good knob, but for all out racing we suggest the Buddy Club Type B knob. We must note that this knob is not Mazda specific and the bottom of the knob will not meet up with the shift boot in a street Miata. This knob will only look correct when no shift boot is used.
