5X Racing Hubs have been torture tested and proven in Treasure Coast Miata's Chump Car in the Roebling Road 14 hour Chump Car race with our special blueprinting techniques and grease!
There are two options for our hubs. You can get the $100 price if you send us your known good hubs, or you can purchase our ready to race hubs. Our ready to race hubs are built by us ahead of time and do not require your core to be sent to us. If you don't have spare hubs, or you don't want to remove the hubs from your car, choose the "ready to race" option. The price of the used hubs is built into additional cost of the Ready to Race option.
The price of our service is for TWO hubs.
If you have a Spec Miata race car you know how little power your car puts to the ground. One thing the front runners in the class do to free up some rolling resistance to unlock your car's horsepower potential is to "blueprint" the hubs. The word "blueprint" is really just a term to describe meticulously building or rebuilding a component to make it work better than it did in it's original form. While everyone has their secrets on how they build hubs, our hub service will allow your hubs to spin like roller skate wheels and at the same time keep an ample amount of grease and allow proper torquing procedures for your peace of mind (a lot of guys out there run their axle nuts dangerously loose, which will eventually lead to bearing failure).
So, here's the deal:
For $100, here is the process of getting your hubs blueprinted by 5X Racing if you ship us YOUR known good hubs, which means that they have been proven to be good hubs used on a car before, not junkyard finds that have been in a flooded field for years.
We also offer an add on to where we will install brand new ARP Racing Wheel Studs for you and add in a set of brand new Mazda axle nuts to go with your fresh hubs. Another option we offer is the choice on what grease you want us to use. For all out race cars, we recommend using our special racing grease (our secret). For street/auto-x/track day cars, we recommend choosing the Red Line grease option, as it is a heavier grease that is more suited to street driven conditions. Choose your options above is you are interested in these add-on's.
