Fits: 1993 (From 02/02/1993 Production) - thru 2005 Miata, however it will also fit the earlier 1990-1993 transmissions as well, but it differs in design. This boot is actually an improved design as it is higher, allowing less flex between the boot and shifter. We actually recommend the OEM MX-5 lower shifter boot as it is more affordable and a better design.

Lower shift boot mounted on transmission under center console. This is the boot that installs on the bottom of your shifter and is most likely torn already. A torn shifter boot can result in a poor shifter feel as well as allowing dirt and dust to enter your transmission via the tears. This is a common problem that plagues all Miatas over time and is an easy repair.
