PLEASE NOTE!: Hastings specifications for ring gap is .010 - .020” so anything measuring in that range is acceptable. This could mean that your ring gaps are not going to be even across all of your rings. This is not something that will effect a normal rebuild and the .010-.020" range is acceptable for ring gaps, but if OEM specifications are desired, then an OEM ring set is recommended.

Description

Stock replacement piston rings are not as easy to find for the Miata as they are for the small block V-8's, that's for sure! Most aftermarket companies only offer oversize pistons and rings, which will not suffice for those rebuilding an engine to stock tolerances or preparing a Spec Miata race engine that can only be bored .010 over. We found these rings through our research, and used them in one of our Spec Miata race engines. They are a decent quality OEM replacement ring that will be suitable for street based rebuilds. For standard bore race engines we recommend OEM rings, and for boosted rebuilds, we recommend Supertech or Wiseco pistons and rings which better suit a turbo or supercharger.
