Hard Dog's Sport series of bars were designed for safety and low impact on vehicle utility. The M2 Sport fits all Miata chassis from 1990- 2005. Specifically designed for the 2nd generation Mazda glass rear window convertible tops or equivalent size glass window installed on a 1st generation Miata. The M2 Sport is also compatible with all flexible plastic rear window tops. The Hard Dog M2 Sport series is designed for second generation Miatas (99-0) with glass rear window tops, but will also work with earlier plastic window tops. It uses 1.5” tubing and is available in black powder coated mild steel or polished stainless steel (special order, contact us). It comes standard without diagonal bars, but single or double diagonals are an option if you want to conform to SCCA track day rules (at least one diagonal). The rear braces are straight on this bar, and a harness bar is optional and always a good idea if you plan to use a racing style shoulder harness seat belt system. This bar is perfect for someone looking for added chassis stiffening, additional protection on a daily driver, autocross protection and chassis stiffening, and track events where a roll bar is required for cars with just convertible tops and no rollover protection.
