The Hard Core Series of bars are designed to meet SCCA PDX/Club Trials and NASA HPDE/TT safety requirements for the competitor that wants to maintain a dual purpose car for street and track events. The M2 Hard Core fits 1990-2005 Miata and is specifically designed for the second generation Mazda glass rear window convertible tops or equivalent size aftermarket glass window tops installed on a first generation Miata. The M2 Hard Core are also compatible will all flexible plastic rear window tops.Availability: Made to order and shipped from Hard Dog

The Hard Dog Hard Core series of roll bars biggest difference from the Sport series is most obvious the thicker appearance, since it is made out of 1.75” mild steel tubing. The rear braces of the M2 series have a single diagonal in the main hoop as standard, while double diagonals are optional. We recommend the Hard Core Hardtop version or Sport models for most drivers over 5' 9" with unmodified stock seats, as the Hardtop version is preferable for taller drivers because of the more rearward placement of the main hoop. See the Schematic Views on our Application Guide for main hoop placement comparisons. Other options also include high-density foam padding and leather or vinyl covers. The Hard Core series are only available in black powder coated mild steel. This bar is perfect for someone looking for ultimate protection for track events, especially where a roll bar is required for cars with just convertible tops and no rollover protection.
