MPI F-13-C Suede Race Steering Wheel

There's lots of steering wheels out there, and they're not all created equal! We've had several on our cars - from budget to top of the line - and when we opened the box to this MPI wheel, we were blown away! This wheel is absolutely beautiful and looks amazing installed in our Miata racecar. And it's a perfect size for the tight confines of the Miata too!

One of the first things that drew us to look at an MPI wheel was that the company is owned by Max Papis, a world-renowned professional racecar driver who's turned a great many of steering wheels in his career. The second thing was that these wheels are made in Italy, not China. There's a HUGE difference in quality between the two countries of origin, especially in the stitching and suede quality/feel. We've used and felt the suede from Chinese made wheels (like NRG) and from those of Italy (like Sparco) and you can tell the difference for sure. Also, the stitch quality tends to be too loose on Chinese made wheels, which causes an unsightly gap and opens up the possibility of the material separating under hard use. The third thing that sealed the deal for us on MPI was the cost. MPI wheels are more affordable than similar Italian Sparco, Momo, and OMP wheels with the same - and if not better - Italian quality and feel. This is a top-of-the-line steering wheel at a mid-grade price point, which is why we wholeheartedly recommend them!
