Pre-assembly includes 4 brand new OEM Mazda NB 99-05 Shock Hats (normally $100 if purchased separate). We then bead blast the surface of the shock hat in which the Fat Cat spring isolator gets glued to. We also prep the surface of the isolator as it is very slick and can become separated from the shock hat if not made to adhere better. This ensures the isolator stays in position and does not separate over time We then use a slight bead of silicone to seat the coilover sleeves to eliminate having them turn when you adjust your spring heights after they're instaled We properly install the Fat Cat Bump Stop kit We will set the spring adjustments to match the ride height of our current setup on our race cars. This should be used as a guideline and we recommend you scale and balance the car regardless of our settings. We tend to like our cars loose, so our settings will reflect this style of driving. Our base settings are meant to be a starting point Shocks will be shipped as a "bolt in" installation

NOTE: This kit is the Bilstein-style and not the most current Penske equipped style. This kit is still legal for regional racing (but check your current local rules), however it is not legal for national level races (must be on Penske's for nationals). This kit is still the tried and trued kit that Spec Miata racecars used for 20-years before the SCCA made the change to a Penske sourced shock package that is substantially more expensive.

If you want your car to ride and handle like a real race car this kit is a must have. Been racing with it on my spec Miata and it is incredible as well as easy to adjust!

In building my car, I looked around for this kit as it is a bigger purchase. Could not have been happier with the folks at 5x. Bought the pre-assembled option with the coil overs set for each corner. Well worth it as I know that the set up is really close to where it needs to be. There are a lot of washers and things to get right with this and I did not want to have to deal with that. Price is the best I saw for what you were getting...and I got with the Fat Cats. Came ready to bolt in with each corner clearly marked. Thanks!!
