5X Racing Mazda Miata NA Radio Delete Plate
Miata Radio Delete
Description
Why do these not go through 1997? We've found that our pre-drilled installation holes do not line up correctly with certain radio bezels on 1997 Miatas. We're not 100% sure what years the different bezels are from, but we believe it's from the 1996.5-1997 Miata which our research shows used a different radio. Our plates still work on the 97's, you just need to adapt it by drilling additional holes.
Music is overrated! This part is perfect for Miata race cars that have the radio removed for race lightening, or for hard core street/autocross/time attack drivers that are looking for a great start to weight reduction. Not only is removing the less than desirable stereo system in your Miata a great way to reduce weight, this plate is also a great foundation to mount your additional gauges and switches like we do on our Spec Miata race cars.

Comments:
This gives a nice look to the dash of a Miata when taking out the radio. Fits nice and tight with a look that's clean. Plenty of room for gauges or switches and it's rediculously lightweight. Be sure not to put the screws in too far as the screws will come through the front of the bezel. Great product and it's a whole lot better than a cheap plastic part from somewhere else.
